An authenticator App is an app that supplies a new code every 30 seconds, based on a unique key that is entered into the app once. The code supplied by the app is used to confirm your identity when logging in.
If you don’t already use an Authenticator App you’ll have to install one on your device of choice.
On an Android or Apple smartphone or tablet you can use Google Authenticator.
On a Windows smartphone you can use Microsoft Authenticator.
On Windows computers you can use WinAuth and on Mac OSX you can use OTP Manager.
After installation you’ll have to configure the app once. The key required when configuring the app is the one you’ll receive via e-mail. Please refer to our How To Use 2-factor authentication guide.
